Water firm to take on 100 apprentices

MASSIVE RECRUITMENT DRIVE LAUNCHED BY SEVERN TRENT

WATER company bosses have launched one of their biggest ever recruitment drives to sign up 100 young people as apprentices.

The roles at Severn Trent are open to anyone regardless of age or career experience, and include fields such as HR, water networks, electrical and engineering.

Applications close on March 16, and the move comes after the company recruited 97 apprentices last year, and 89 in 2024.

To tackle barriers for entry, Severn Trent has removed the need for people to have achieved a pass for both English and Maths for some of their apprenticeships, opening the schemes up to more people.

Those without the qualifications will be able to gain them during their apprenticeship.
