Tenants call for new kitchen, bathroom and double glazing

THE results of a tenant survey have been revealed by South Derbyshire District Council.
Since launching the survey in the spring, 576 tenants responded, outlining what they feel needs to be improved in council-run homes.
When asked what their top three desired home upgrades were, they said that their priorities are kitchen replacement, bathroom replacement and double glazing.
Other favoured areas of improvement include heating upgrades, insulation, renewable technologies such as solar PV, and roof replacement.
Councillor Gordon Rhind, above, chair of the housing and community services committee, said: "Firstly, can I thank the 576 tenants that responded to this survey.
