BURTON Albion pounced to make their first signing of the January transfer window on the eve of the Boreham Wood game.

The Brewers signed Kain Adom from National League side Gateshead for an undisclosed fee and announced the news on Friday.
The 24-year-old joins on an 18-month contract, with an optional year extension.
He will take the number 29 shirt and went straight into the squad for Saturday's game.
