RAPIST JAILED NINE YEARS FOR ATTACK ON SLEEPING WOMAN

'His behaviour to this woman was nothing short of horrific'

A MAN who filmed himself raping a woman while she was asleep has been jailed for nine years.

Parry Bains, of Church Gresley, carried out the horrific attack on the woman, who was known to him, in October 2022.

When she woke up, Bains told her what he had done and the next day she found a video he had filmed on her phone of him raping her.

She reported the incident to police and Bains was arrested. After a police investigation, he was subsequently charged with rape in September 2023.

He denied the offence, but was found guilty after a trial at Derby Crown Court in October.

The 26-year-old, of Westacre Drive, appeared at the same court for sentencing on November 7, when he was jailed for nine years.
