Moore hits a stunner as Rovers strike late for a win

TWO late goals earned Gresley Rovers an excellent 2-0 win away to Heanor Town in UCL Premier Division North.

This game was played at Ilkeston Town's New Manor Ground, on a 3G pitch, as Heanor are still waiting to have their own artificial surface installed.

Rovers welcomed back Fin Barker, who missed the previous week's game due to a back strain, Louis Jarvis and Liam Storer but Jenson Cooper and Brad Catlow were both still absent.

The game started with Heanor pressing Rovers hard and they almost grabbed the opener after 20 minutes when former Moatman Jamie Sleigh broke through the back line but was denied by keeper Tom Everest-Wilcock, who blocked the shot.

Rovers then began to push Heanor back but were reduced to firing long range shots - Sam Moore and Chris Acott, twice, were not far away within the space of four minutes.
