'Loss overshadowed top Burton accolade'

BREWERS star Kegs Chauke admits captaining his side for the first time was a 'bittersweet' moment after the 3-0 loss at Plymouth.

Chauke, 22, often impresses in the middle of the park and has been a bright spark in recent weeks despite three losses in a row, so much so that he was handed the armband in the absence of Jake Beesley.

But Sunday's game did not either start or end well with a dominant display from Argyle earning them all three points and overtaking Albion in the table in the process.

Reflecting on the honour, he said: "I think the way to describe it is bittersweet.

"To have the armband, leading out the boys, was a special moment but obviously the result overshadows that right now.
