Join me for a brief respite from sparkles and sequins as I indulge in a retrospective of fashion in 2025...
■January saw the loss of the matriarch of the Missoni family, Rosita, who co-founded the luxury Italian knitwear brand, known for its colourful zig zag patterns, with her husband in 1953.
■February brought with it fashion weeks and kicked off a game of musical chairs among the top design houses, the most notable being Sabato De Sarno being replaced at Gucci by Demna whose first collection "La Famiglia" was hailed a success.
