FOSTER FAMILIES TELL STORY AS PART OF RECRUITMENT DRIVE

A NATIONAL campaign is urging potential foster carers in East Staffordshire to come forward.

Staffordshire County Council is looking to recruit 60 new foster families this year, and is using Foster Care Fortnight, which started on Monday, to raise awareness.

During the fortnight, the foster teams will be touring the county, including Uttoxeter Dove Fields Car Park on Wednesday, May 21, from 10am to 2pm, and Burton Town Hall Jobs Fair on Thursday, May 22, between 10am and 1pm.

Bernie Brown, director for children and families at the authority, said foster carers do “an amazing job of building long-lasting relationships with the children who come into their care and they make a real difference”
