AND CASHIN, ONCE A TEAM-MATE AT DERBY, IS ONE OF THOSE NOW UNDER HIS WING
Curtis Davies (right) on duty as a Sky Sports pundit during the game between Wrexham and Birmingham City at the Racecourse Ground this season.
CURTIS Davies is a man in demand these days.
If he's not on Sky Sports, he's with the BBC, and if you can't find him on the television or the radio, then he will be busy with his latest job.
Alongside his punditry duties, he has also become a football agent for Unique Sports, who boast a stellar list of clients, including new Manchester City defender Marc Guehi.
One player that Davies has taken under his wing is his former Derby County teammate, Eiran Cashin.
Both players were immensely popular at Pride Park Stadium, where Davies was the captain and a master with legendary status. Cashin, sold by Derby to Brighton & Hove Albion in January 2025, was very much the apprentice.
Davies will now mentor him off the pitch and after a career spanning more than 600 games that took him all the way to the Premier League, there is nobody better to learn from.
"Professionally, I work with him, but he's a friend of mine above anything else," Davies told the Burton Mail about the defender, who is currently on loan with Blackburn Rovers.
"He's somebody that, from the moment he made his debut, I was alongside him. I played 20 games with him, got to help him develop, and ever since we've just kept in touch.
"I'll give him my honest opinions like I always would, in terms of I think you should have done better there, you were excellent here, or whatever I have to say.
"He obviously found it hard at the start of the season at Birmingham City, where he'd been on loan, and he was thinking about his future. Eventually, we had a conversation about whether I'd like to formally take over representing him, and that's what I've done.
