Former Rams interim boss in at Chelsea

FORMER Derby County interim boss Liam Rosenior has been appointed the new manager of Chelsea - and will be joined by Justin Walker, who was first-team coach with the Rams.

Rosenior was confirmed as Enzo Maresca's successor yesterday with the former Hull City manager signing a six-year contract.

The move comes just three and half years after Rosenior left the Rams as their interim manager when he was appointed in a temporary role after David Clowes' takeover in the summer of 2022.

Rosenior leaves Chelsea's sister club Strasbourg where he did a fine job in Ligue One and was assisted by Walker, one of his most trusted lieutenants.

"I am extremely humbled and honoured to be appointed head coach of Chelsea," said Rosenior.

"This is a club with a unique spirit and a proud history of winning trophies.
