COMPENSATION FIGURES REVEALED ACROSS COUNTY SINCE 2020
STAFFORDSHIRE Fire & Rescue Service has paid more than £70,000 in compensation claims since 2020.
Figures obtained by No Win No Fee Solicitors Co have shown the cost of claims made by both fire-fighters and members of the public.
If a firefighter is injured at work and believes their employer's negligence was to blame, they may be eligible to make a claim.
Public liability claims can arise for several reasons, with the most common being property damage caused by fire services or crashes in which a fire engine was at fault.
The service responded by saying they take every claim seriously and remain committed to learning from each one to further improve the service they provide and uphold the standards expected of its workforce.
