Drugs and weapons seized in criminal gangs crackdown

COPS arrested 19 people as part of a countywide operation targeting gangs, which saw firearms, drugs and cash seized.

Specialist teams from Derbyshire Police executed warrants and conducted operations to disrupt suspected drug dealing gangs across the county.

The week of action saw enforcement and community engagement work through the national County Lines Intensification Week (CLIW), from March 2 to 8, which this year had a focus on tackling child criminal exploitation.

Officers forced entry into two properties resulting in the arrests of two people on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A and B drugs.

A 35-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman have since been bailed whilst inquiries continue.

An enforcement operation saw officers recover six bags of Mamba and arrest two people for drug offences.
