Crofters are on guard against struggling Derby

BURTON aim to maintain their unbeaten run tomorrow when they face one of only two teams to have defeated them so far this season as neighbours Derby visit Battlestead Croft (3pm).

The Crofters suffered a 40-36 away defeat at Haslams Lane in Regional 1 North West in September but since then Derby have struggled and are bottom of the table. That is Derby's only win of the season so far, while Burton have not lost in the last eight.

"There's no revenge about it, genuinely," said Crofters' director of rugby Harry Titley.

"The lads aren't talking about it as a game of revenge and they are treating it as any other league game.

"We know how dangerous Derby are because we're the only team that they've beaten this season, so we know what they are capable of.

"From their perspective, I know that they're on a poor run of games but they'll be seeing this game against us as they're turning point for the season, I'm sure.
