GOALKEEPER Brad Collins took 'full responsibility' for the Lincoln result after his error cost the Brewers the second goal in a 2-1 loss.
Burton Albion fell victim to a Jack Moylan double in their 2-1 defeat at Lincoln City on Thursday evening.
Collins has been instrumental for Burton Albion this season and is consistently one of the best and most important players in the team, earning the Brewers plenty of points along the way with some stunning saves at vital periods of a game.
But he could not keep hold of a Freddie Draper strike in the second half of Thursday night's clash and spilled it to Jack Moylan who grabbed his second and the all-important deciding goal.
Fronting up afterwards, Collins said: "The boys were brilliant. I actually take full responsibility for that result. Obviously the second goal was on me. I put my hands up. It's a mistake. But the boys didn't put a foot wrong.
"To be honest with you, sometimes in football you just can't explain what goes on. It skidded off the surface, came out of my hand, I tried to get the rebound and it's in the back of the net. This is part and parcel of being a goalkeeper."
Put to him that the weather conditions might have played a part, he responded: "I'm not having that. It's not the conditions. It's got nothing to do with that. That's on me.
