York's looking set to deliver once again

AS racecourses go, York does loads right, so make sure you dip into at least some (if not all) of the track's best meeting next week.
Featuring the Ebor - arguably the best Flat handicap in Britain and, at £500,000, certainly the most valuable - the four-day fixture starts on Wednesday and has the Juddmonte International Stakes as its centrepiece.
It is a race with a rich tradition and plenty of legends have won it, including Sea The Stars, who triumphed in 2009 and for many might have been its greatest winner had a certain Frankel not come along and dazzled three years later.
It is worth £1.25 million, no surprise given it was last year rated the best race in the world by official handicappers, who also bestowed that honour on the contest in 2020.
