Yoakum dominates last quarter to seal victory for Flyers
Bristol Post
|September 30, 2025
BRISTOL Flyers bounced back from defeat to London Lions with a vital victory over Leicester Riders, as an intense match-up finished 74-70 in the hosts' favour.
-
Twenty nine points came from Will Yoakum, who took over in the fourth to see Flyers over the line. Sixteen of his points came in the final period, with Zach Anderson adding a 13-point tally to the scoring.
Leicester debutant Raequan Battle drained his first two open looks from three as the Riders galloped out to an early lead.
Yoakum got a pair of tough lay-ins to drop, but Leicester lit up the floor and maintained a sizeable advantage through most of the opening stanza.
Flyers struggled to get anything to drop from outside, meanwhile Leicester seemingly couldn't miss. The away side took a 28-14 advantage into the second.
