Well fed and watered at Fed - ideal on a hot day

WHEN the weather reaches temperatures in the mid twenties (like it did recently), and you're thinking about lunch, sometimes all you crave is a refreshing drink and a bowl of something equally refreshing - but also filling and nutritious.
During my working lunch on this particularly warm and sunny weekday, I found myself in the vicinity of Fed in Cotham/Redland, and I've always heard incredible things about it.
So I ventured in and took a look at the menu. It has everything from seasonal salads, savoury snacks like sausage rolls, quiches and frittatas, and sweets like cinnamon buns, oat slices and pain au chocolat, as well as a range of juices and coffee.
When visiting this cafe your eye immediately takes you to the artistically displayed selection of sandwiches, cakes, buns, and other delectable goodies. The interior is a mix of deep blues and light woods, with a selection of plants decorating the space.
And the staff here are warm, welcoming, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the food and drink.
The menu is displayed on chalkboard-esque walls, and the ever-changing salad bowl selection was also on display. It all looked delicious.
