Suburban Wessex sweep Cowboys aside with flurry of late goals

FOUR goals in the last 26 minutes helped Wessex Wanderers start 2026 in pole position with a 5-0 win over Easton Cowboys at Lockleaze Sports Centre.

Tom Trimble gave Wanderers the lead on 35 minutes, Theo Portch doubled the lead on 64 minutes, three minutes later Zak Evans made it 3-0, then Portch and Trimble added their second goals in the last six minutes to give Wessex a convincing win and their third consecutive clean sheet.

Second-placed Almondsbury Reserves received a walkover against Stoke Gifford United Reserves, who could not raise a side.

Unbeaten Warmley Redbridge are in third place courtesy of a 1-0 win at Avonmouth Reserves.

Kevin De Cristofaro scored his 10th goal of the season in the 90th minute to earn Jamaica Bell a point at Headley Park against St Aldhelms.

Senior Division leaders Cosmos UK remain unbeaten following a walkover against Broad Plain House Reserves.

Second-placed AFC Bohemia are a point behind after beating Lawrence Weston Athletic 8-0 at the BAWA.
