Stoke Lodge Fence CCTV plans refused

COTHAM School's attempt to install CCTV at Stoke Lodge playing fields has been thwarted by a government planning inspector.
The school applied for permission to erect cameras to monitor the site in Stoke Bishop after reporting vandalism to fences and gates.
However, the application was refused on the grounds that the equipment would cause harm to the heritage setting of the listed building and infringe on residents’ privacy.
A school spokesperson said: “Cotham School is clearly disappointed that the Planning Inspectorate’s planning decision has refused the proposed CCTV cameras for our school playing fields at Stoke Lodge.
“We are now going to review the Planning Inspectorate’s planning decision in detail and consider our next steps.
