One of the many things you learn about small children, as a grandparent, is that generally they aren't very good at complicated stuff. Like cleaning cars, for instance.

T'S surprising what you can learn from a dirty camper van. Apart from the obvious fact that the owner (in this case, that would be me) is not a big believer in external camper cleanliness. The reason I mention this is because, as regular readers might just about remember, a few months ago, Mrs Cullimore and I got a delightful little preloved camper to play with. It's been great fun so far. With lots of adventures, days away, nights cosied up, camping in the middle of nowhere. Thrills, spills and biscuits aplenty. Along with cups of tea, naturally. In short, there are many things which I have done thanks to that van.
However, the one thing I have not done is given it a wash. Or rather, that was the one thing I had not done. Because a few days ago, our little Wendy house on wheels got its very first wash and brush-up from yours truly. It was a lot of fun to do, too. Mainly because I had help from one of the grandkids.
