Robins must wait on play-off place after being blown away by Leeds

BRISTOL City missed the chance to secure their place in the Championship play-off places as they were thrashed 4-0 by Premier League-bound Leeds United at Elland Road.

The Robins slipped to back-to-back Championship defeats for the first time in 2025 as goals from Ao Tanaka, Wilfried Gnonto and a Largie Ramazani brace ensured the race for the top six will go down to the Reds' final-day clash with Preston North End.

Tanaka handed the home side the lead midway through the first half when he turned home from close range, before Gnonto and Ramazani added a second, third and fourth after the break to wrap up the three points.

Defeat left Liam Manning's side fifth in the Championship, a single point ahead of Coventry City and Millwall. To guarantee their spot in the play-offs, Manning's side will need to beat Preston at Ashton Gate on Saturday.

Manning made two changes to the side that lost against Luton Town at Kenilworth Road with George Earthy taking the place of Anis Mehmeti, who dropped to the bench, and Haydon Roberts replacing Cam Pring, who missed out with injury.
