MANNING MAKES NORWICH MOVE

BRISTOL City have confirmed head coach Liam Manning has left the football club to take over as Norwich City boss just more than three weeks on from the conclusion of the Robins' play-off campaign.
City ended their 17-year wait for a top-six Championship finish under the guidance of the 39-year-old this season, coming within 270 minutes of Premier League football. However, a record 6-0 aggregate defeat against Sheffield United in the semi-finals ensured City will be playing second-tier football again next season.
Manning was appointed as the Robins' head coach in November 2023, replacing Nigel Pearson in the BS3 dugout and putting pen to paper on a three-and-a-half-year contract. After a mixed first campaign in charge, a much-improved second season ensured the head coach's stock continued to rise heading into the off-season.
