It feels a fresh and exciting environment, says assistant boss

JON Stead has affirmed the environment he has come into at Bristol Rovers has felt “fresh” as the Gas look to put aside the disappointment of last season.
Stead officially joined last month as one of Darrell Clarke's assistant head coaches alongside ex-Coventry City coach Rhys Carr. The 42-year-old worked under Clarke at Barnsley last season.
There have been further personnel changes behind the scenes as well as seven new players in the building following 17 departures.
Rovers will be looking to return to League One at the first time of asking this season after being relegated to League Two last term, and the start of the new campaign is just more than a fortnight away.
