Hull head coach rues 'two cheap goals' in defeat to Robins

HULL City can "give congratulations to Bristol City" for their win at the MKM Stadium, Sergej Jakirovic said, but the Tigers boss bemoaned the "cheap goals" his side conceded and their "soft" approach after the full-time whistle.

The Robins came from behind to beat high-flying Hull 3-2 away on Saturday. First-half goals from Rob Atkinson and Ross McCrorie, as well as Emil Riis' strike after the break, proved to be enough for City to cut the gap to the top six to a single point.

While Jakirovic could accept that from the Robins' perspective, Emil Riis and Ross McCrorie's goals would be viewed as impressive passages of play, he felt his side made it too easy for City to pull ahead and, in the end, claim all three points.
