CLIFTON Robinsons' 'Super Saturday' delivered a seven-goal thriller as their men's first team beat University of Exeter 2nds 5-2 in front of a record crowd at Clifton College in England Hockey Conference West.

Chris Wiseman opened the scoring for Clifton Robinsons when he scored from a penalty corner after just two minutes.
Then came a six-minute masterclass, in the 31st, 34th and 37th minutes, from man of the match Ben Shardlow, who scored a hat trick of penalty corners. He also provided the assists for both the first goal and the last goal from Ben Stone, who completed the scoring with five minutes remaining.
Additionally, two former Robbies Under-18s, Charlie Morgan-Hughes and Will Waltham, scored for the students.
Robbies' next match is on Sunday, November 2nd against University of Bristol at Coombe Dingle (12.30pm). University of Bristol lost 3-2 at Ashmoor, with Timme Knaapen and Ed Watson on target for the students
