'Hit-and-runs' Police arrest five on suspicion of attempted murder

FIVE teenagers have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after two “deliberate” hit-and-runs in south Bristol.
Police are linking the alleged attacks, which took place in Hartcliffe last Thursday, and are thought to have involved the same stolen black Mini Cooper.
The vehicle is believed to have been stolen from a property in Speedwell overnight on Wednesday, May 28.
The first collision happened on Teyfant Road at around 12.30pm in which it was deliberately driven at two teenage boys riding a Sur-Ron bike. Fortunately, neither suffered serious injuries.
Later, at around 5.30pm, the Mini was seen driving along Mowcroft Road.
The car is said to have followed a 19-year-old man riding a scrambler-type off-road bike on Fulford Road and into Hareclive Road, before driving into him.
The rider was taken to hospital with facial injuries.
He has since been discharged.
