Fundraising appeal to help battling Paisley-jade

A YOUNG girl is critically ill in hospital, battling a devastating and rare brain condition that caused her heart to stop beating and left her enduring excruciating pain.

Paisley-jade Bellerby is currently receiving life support treatment at Bristol Children’s Hospital, where her anxious family maintains a bedside vigil while attempting to raise money for the support equipment she needs.
The seven-year-old is battling acute necrotising encephalopathy, which medical professionals describe as a “devastating neuro-logic condition” that can develop following an infection and may result in “rapid changes in consciousness, focal neurological deficits, and seizures’.
According to her mother Nikki Bellerby, Paisley-jade has been fighting this condition since she was merely six months old.
