Football Moore says thanks to Gasheads for Crewe support
Bristol Post
|December 23, 2025
BRISTOL Rovers defender Taylor Moore was quick to thank the Gasheads who made the long journey up the M5 and M6 on the Friday night before Christmas to watch their 1-1 draw with Crewe Alexandra.
The Gas came away with a point which ended the club record run of 10 successive defeats, and will spend Christmas Day in 22nd spot after climbing out of the relegation zone.
In Steve Evans' first game in charge, Emre Tezgel's early strike put Crewe ahead, but only three minutes later, Callum Morton scored his first goal for the club with an immediate riposte.
Adrien Thibaut's red card meant the Pirates played an hour against 10 men, but they couldn't take their chances to score a second and turn the draw into a victory. But at least it was a first point in League Two since the end of September and the run of defeats came to an end.
"First and foremost, I want to say thank you to each and every fan who came here today behind the goal," said Moore. "Their support is unconditional, and I just think that what we have seen here tonight is a little bit of a bounce and a little bit of a change in momentum.
