Daniels and Evans star in win
Bristol Post
|August 08, 2025
OPENERS Keith Daniels and John Evans both hit half centuries for Gloucestershire Over 70s who claimed an 11-run win at Fairford in a rain-affected derby clash against Wiltshire.
Daniels top scored on 54, Evans reached 50 while an unbeaten 49 from Mike Pearson helped the home side total 190-3 off their 35.
In reply, Wiltshire were set a revised target of 145 off 23 because of rain, and came up just short. John Turton’s five overs cost just 21 and Geoff Eaves sent down four overs for 20, while there were wickets for Rick Carman (1-22 from five) and Mike Pearson as Gloucestershire put the squeeze on.
