Badminton Devon ready to help Bullets fire in revamped NBL

WHEN Devon Webster makes her return to the National Badminton League this season, it will mark a full circle moment like no other.

The 28-year-old, who originally hails from Gorleston, Norfolk, will take to the court as part of the Bristol Bullets squad this winter as the domestic competition makes its long-awaited return.

Webster was there the first time the NBL reared its head in 2014 and admitted that, while she is holding the memories of her first outing tightly, a revamp and change in format is welcomed this time around to grow the sport.

“T was actually part of the NBL 10 years ago when we were called Bristol Jets, so I’m really excited for it to get revamped and receive the attention that it deserves,’ she said.

“Hopefully people can see this and take badminton more seriously but see the fun side as well which will get more supporters involved. In Bristol, we have such a big and positive badminton community, and so hopefully we will get a really great fanbase around the team.”
