APPLE'S LATEST OPERATING SYSTEM - iOS 26 - IS PACKED WITH USEFUL FEATURES. WE TAKE A LOOK AT WHAT'S COMING TO YOUR IPHONE IN THE NEAR FUTURE
So, to give the new iOS its due, here we run down the new features and changes coming to the new iPhone and its predecessors ahead of the big day.
1. Design Apple is refining the look and feel of the operating system across all its devices for the next release... and is calling the new look Liquid Glass.
Glass because it’s translucent, liquid because it animates like, well, liquid. This is a look that’s coming to things like menus and buttons across the system.
Its introduction has not been without controversy, with some early testers complaining that it made text hard to read.
Subsequent releases of beta versions of the software have been refined, and legibility has been improved.
Although it’s not an exaggeration to say that some users are still not enamoured of the new look.
2. AI Apple’s implementation of AI - which it calls Apple Intelligence - has been slow and unsure, with some suggesting the company is well behind the curve in this regard.
