Action called off as workers mull offer

INDUSTRIAL action planned at aerospace manufacturer Airbus has been delayed after the company presented an enhanced pay and pensions proposal. However, if the new proposal is rejected, strike action could still go ahead at the end of the month.

Unite union members at facilities in Filton and Broughton, Flintshire, had been scheduled to strike this week. Staff had originally voted to strike in July due to a dispute over their latest pay offer.
Overall 95% of union members voted in favour of strikes on an 80% turnout.
