EXPIRED public driving permits for scholar transport buses contracted by the Department of Education last week caused frustration among hundreds of learners from Ext 71 and nearby areas travelling weekly to schools in Seshego.
Although the buses arrived on time at their usual pickup point near the Ditenteng taxi rank, they did not load high school learners. Drivers reportedly feared being stopped by Department of Transport officials who were conducting scholar-transport compliance assessments along Nelson Mandela Drive, the main road to Seshego.
