Bail hearing in insurance murder postponed

THE bail hearing of three women accused of insurancerelated murders and fraud involving nine victims has been postponed to May 28 by the Polokwane Magistrate's Court.
The delay will allow the defence counsel time to access and review the accused's statements.
The accused are Anna Shokane, her sister and police sergeant Rachel Kutumela, and Shokane's daughter Flora Shokane.
The trio is alleged to have orchestrated a string of killings to fraudulently claim insurance payouts totalling R10m. All the deceased were reportedly known to Sgt Kutumela.
