A Blairgowrie woman has told how she is proud to honour her late mum after a daring fundraiser raised almost £4000 for the oncology unit which cared for her when she was fighting cancer.

Ruby Cunningham took on a tandem bungee jump with her friend Erin MacGregor for the cause close to her heart in a touching tribute to her mum Lynne Morgan, who sadly died in January last year, aged 48.

Lynne was cared for at the Oncology and Haematology Day Patient Unit at Perth Royal Infirmary, with kindhearted staff making the “tough days a little easier” for Ruby and her family.

The brave mum was first diagnosed with breast cancer in February 2011.

She had a breast removed and received chemotherapy and radiotherapy which resulted in her going into remission for six years.
