Council snubs bid for padel facility at former eaterie

Planners have rejected a revised scheme build new padel courts on the Fylde coast seafront.

The scheme, for the former Pizza Hut on Cleveleys seafront, comes three months after plans for a similar project, which would have retained the restaurant as a cafe and offered three padel courts, was approved.

The most recent plans would have seen the demolition of the restaurant building, replacing it with four padel courts and a smaller food and beverage unit, along with a toilet and shower block.
