Region's finest office projects scoop awards

Among the winners was the new home of a property consultancy in the heart of Birmingham's business district and a base for Cambridge University in Coventry.

Trade body British Council for Offices (BCO) has recognised the brace of projects along with five others at its Midlands and Central England Awards.

Last year, property consultancy JLL unveiled the brand new home for its 120-strong team in Birmingham at One Centenary Way, the third office building to complete on the Paradise estate.

The BCO awarded it the best project up to 2,500 sq m.

Judges praised the creation of an "inclusive environment that enhances collaboration and wellbeing", catering to the needs of employees and clients.

The panel said it was an exemplary, sustainable fitout which limited embodied carbon through the re-use of base build materials and considered material selection.

One Centenary Way was completed in late 2023 and counts global built environment consultancy Arup and law firm Mills & Reeve among its other tenants.
