'Queen of crime' pens new eight-book deal

BLACK Country author Angela Marsons has signed a new eight-book deal for her bestselling crime series.

The former security manager at Merry Hill published thriller Silent Scream - the first instalment of the Kim Stone series - a decade ago, and went on to sell six million copies worldwide.
Mrs Marsons, who grew up in Cradley Heath, and later lived in Quarry Bank, has seen her books translated into 32 different languages and the TV rights for the series optioned by the BBC.
She has earned a legion of loyal fans through the series, which follows the prickly DI Stone and her team as they investigate grisly crimes across the Black Country and beyond.
The books repeatedly go straight to the top of the Kindle charts when a pre-order is announced.
