Juke has last word in fitting finale win

BIRMINGHAM City rounded off their record-breaking League One season with a 2-1 triumph at Cambridge United on Saturday.

In his last-ever game, Lukas Jutkiewicz forced Kelland Watts to score an own goal eight minutes from time to hand Blues another three points.

Blues had earlier taken the lead through Christoph Klarer before Shayne Lavery equalised for Cambridge who had Elias Kachunga sent off in the second half.

The Juke effect

Jutkiewicz was the catalyst for Blues’ final victory in his 358th and final match. The striker’s movement and sheer desire to get on the end of things caused Cambridge endless problems in the last 20 minutes.

He was in the vicinity for the winning goal and had two further chances that he might have done better with on a slicker surface.
