'Window cleaner' stole £15k of gold from OAP

TRICKSTER STRUCK WHILE WOMAN, 80, WAS MAKING A CUPPA
A CRUEL distraction burglar has been jailed after he stole £15,000 worth of gold from an elderly woman.
David Allen took the items after posing as a window cleaner to gain access to the property in Sedgley.
The 40-year-old took the gold as the 80-year-old resident left to make a cup of tea.
Allen, of Tipton Road, in Sedgley, was caught in the act on CCTV and hauled before the courts where he pleaded guilty to a charge of distraction burglary.
He has now been jailed for four years at Wolverhampton Crown Court.
