Warwickshire look to hold on to top spot

THIS weekend, Warwickshire County Darts Organisation play their second of 11 fixtures in the Cosmo Darts Premier Division of the UKDA National League. Following their tremendous start to the season where they beat Cornwall 25-11 to go top of the table, they will now take on last season's third placed finishers Lancashire. Warwickshire have home advantage at the Hen Lane Social Club, Beacon Road, Coventry CV6 4DS and a win would surely consolidate their No.1 position.

■ In the Andy Wheeler Fisheries Championship Division, West Midlands travel to take on Hampshire this weekend. The opening day fixtures saw West Mids win 20-16 at home against Kent while their hosts suffered a 19-17 defeat at Middlesex.
@ Black Country began their new season in the L-Style Division One with a 19-17 home win over Derbyshire to put them fifth in the table with 22 points, three points short of leaders Merseyside. Game number two for the Black Country is a tie at Worcestershire, who in their opening fixture lost 20-16 at Leicestershire.
H@ The South West Birmingham Clubs League staged the semifinals of their Bob Price Cup in which current division one leaders Northfield Darts Club beat next to bottom of the same division Kings Norton Ex Serviceman’s Club 5-2. Joining Northfield Darts Club in the final will be Stirchley United who are placed second in division one, they won 6-1 against Bartley Green FC who are fourth in division two.
