Tributes to former mayor who was one of city's 'true gentlemen'

TRIBUTES have flowed in after the death of a former Lord Mayor of Birmingham and “lovely man".

Conservative councillor Randal Brew, pictured inset,who held the position of mayor between 2007 and 2008, was confirmed to have died earlier this month.

Many have now paid their respects to a “true gentleman" who “helped a lot of people”, specifically in the Northfield, West Heath and Longbridge areas.

Cllr Brew, who received an OBE for his political and public service, was also said to have had a "life well lived" by those within the community.
