Three men jailed for mystery gun attack on home

REASON FOR SHOTS NEVER REVEALED
THREE men have been jailed for more than 60 years in total after shooting up a family home in Perry Barr.
The inexplicable attack took place at around 11pm on May 18 last year when Shomari Mapp, Shaquon Richardson-Bowen and Aairus Rehman arrived on Glendower Road in a stolen Skoda.
Rehman shot three times at the home of Eian and Helena Lothian, with the former hit by shattered glass from an upstairs window.
Mrs Lothian had been out at the time, having been followed by the trio earlier, but now has a permanent memory of the incident in the shape of a bullet mark in the living room sofa where she normally sits.
It remains unclear why the three men, all now 22, targeted the address.
Following a trial they were found guilty of attempted murder and arson, having set fire to the Skoda after the incident.
Yesterday at Birmingham Crown Court Rehman, of Ringlow Road, Great Barr, was sentenced to 22 years.
Mapp, of Melvina Road, Nechells, and Richardson-Bowen, from Severne Road, Acocks Green, both received 20 years.
