MAN CARRIED OUT SIX-WEEK CRIME SPREE AND HAS NOW BEEN JAILED
A “PROLIFIC” car thief has been jailed after he filmed himself inside vehicles which had been stolen from the West Midlands.
Malakhi Ward carried out a six-week crime spree between January 23 and March 6 last year which saw him break into homes and steal items and cars, a court heard.
Ward, 20, was caught after a stolen 3-bike was tracked to an address on Cromwell Street in Dudley in February 2025.
A Nissan Juke parked outside the property had been stolen weeks before and the theft was linked to Ward.
“Officers uncovered similarities between the list of crimes including door locks being snapped to get access to properties and steal car keys,” a spokesperson for West Midlands Police said.
