Snobs owners to turn former club into Irish sports venue

PLAYERS BAR TO GET £4M REVAMP

THE owners of Snobs will open a new Irish bar at the site of a former club in Birmingham city centre.

Players bar, located at 240 Broad Street, was a victim of the pandemic when it closed down in 2022, despite regularly attracting huge crowds.

The former club, which was put on the market at the end of last year, has sold for £2.5 million on a long leasehold.

It was purchased by the owners of Birmingham's legendary Snobs nightclub.

Snobs owner Wayne Tracey, inset, said: "We shall shortly start development of a new Irish bar to add to the city’s growing stock of top quality hospitality venues.
