RARE RECORDINGS REDISCOVERED
-
American folk singer songwriter Woody Guthrie’s last known recordings have emerged after 75 years.
They include 22 previously unreleased tracks from 1951-1952 home tapes, including 13 songs never recorded elsewhere and rare This Land is Your Land verses.
The recordings were made at his Brooklyn apartment before he died from Huntington's disease at the age of 55 in 1967.
‘The Woody at Home new album is out now via Shamus Records and the recordings have been painstakingly restored using vintage tape machines and de-mixing and restoration software.
