Mason upbeat for Campbell to make comeback
Birmingham Mail
|November 22, 2025
CAPTAIN Jed Wallace remains missing for Albion but defender George Campbell has returned to training ahead of today’s trip to Championship leaders Coventry City.
Wallace is still struggling with a calf problem but Campbell is in contention and all the Baggies international players returned unscathed from their trips abroad.
Mason told a pre-match press conference yesterday: “Jed certainly is out. George has returned to training so we're optimistic that in the coming games hopefully he can contribute and help us.
“Everyone's good (that went away). Obviously when you send lads away with their national teams you wish them well but in the back of your head you're hoping they come back fit and healthy.
“Mixed emotions for some of our players but they were back in on Wednesday, the majority of them, and trained with the group so in a good place”
