Leaders K&D stutters despite Hamza's ton

Batting first, K&D's 19-year-old opener smashed 133 off 160 deliveries including 11 4s and six 6s but others failed to master Moseley’s bowlers with Hishaam Khan taking 4-65, Yadvinder Singh 3-49 and Eesa Nadeem 3-25 including the wicket of their hosts’ star turn. George Baines added 24 runs at the end of the innings before K&D were dismissed in the 54th over for 219.

That looked like it could be enough when both Moseley openers fell in quick succession to leave the visitors on 10-2.

But Andrew Umeed and Asim Shoaib had other ideas, putting on 213 between them to steer their side to victory. Scotland’s Umeed fin ished on 106 not out with his partner still there on 97.

Himley opener Ollie Walker hit a rapid century to help his side to a six-wicket win against Barnards Green who earlier posted 201-7 from their overs.
