It was just too easy for Sky Blues to win admits Ramsay

ERIC Ramsay felt Coventry City didn’t have to work too hard for their two-goal lead against his struggling West Bromwich Albion side.

- By ANDY TURNER

Goals from Ephron Mason-Clark and Jack Rudoni in the fifth and 32nd minutes put the Sky Blues on course for the three points at The Hawthorns as the Baggies’ recently appointed head coach continues to search for his first win in charge.

In fact, having lost five games and drawn three (including defeat in the FA Cup) in his first eight games, the former Minnesota United boss is already under pressure.

West Brom supporters chanted ‘You're getting sacked in the morning’ and ‘Your football is s***’ at Ramsay.

Speaking after the game, the 34-year-old coach said: "The performance overall was as we would have hoped to an extent in the sense that it was relatively even in terms of what was created, balance of the game and dominance of the ball.

"However, we really haven't helped ourselves in the manner of giving the goals away in the way that we did. We followed up a good first five or six minutes with a goal that we'll look back on and really kick ourselves.

"That's then followed up not too long after by another that will really disappoint us. It feels like the opposition hasn't had to work particularly hard to find themselves in the position they were in after the first 30 minutes. After that, we've got a mountain to climb.
