I can't do without my football fix!
Birmingham Mail
|September 03, 2025
HERE is nothing on the planet, in my opinion, that stirs the emotions quite like football does.
-
From one minute to the next, from one game to the next, from one season to the next, we experience every known emotion to man.
It can make you cry tears of joy, tears of anger, tears of frustration, or tears of disappointment. It can make the most sensible of us irrational, foolish, frustrated and despondent while, conversely, it can make us deliriously happy, sing, shout and fall even further in love with our club.
Itcan lift you up like nothing else and leave you down and miserable. It can make you so proud and happy to wear replica shirts and other items, such as hats and scarves in club colours. It can even persuade some to get a tattoo of the club’s logo on various body parts.
Conversely, it can leave us ranting and raving with anger and swearing we are done with the club and will never go to another match again, only for us to reappear at the next game full of hope and excitement.
